Do you know Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as how to use the Internet and email? If you do, how would you like to use these skills to teach some deserving women who are anxious to learn? The rewards far outweigh the effort and time commitment!
The students of The Ladder Alliance are women who may be victims of domestic violence, unemployed, homeless or experiencing severe poverty. These ladies need basic computer skills to help them get back on their feet.
You will be teaching a class of 6 – 10 women the basics of these software programs as well as an introduction to keyboarding.
Instructors are asked to volunteer one night a week from 6:30 – 8:30 for the full course which is about 15 weeks, or two hours a day, from 12:00 – 2:30pm Monday through Thursday for 8 weeks.
