volunteersOur volunteers vary in backgrounds and contributions. Yet, they are unified by their belief in The Ladder Alliance’s cause. Men and women come together and give back in a meaningful way through their time, energy, and resources.

If you would like to become a member of The Ladder Alliance family, you can do so by donating as much or as little time from your schedule. Whether it is just a single act or a regular basis of service, your commitment is what makes us excel and touch more lives every day.

The following are a few ways in which you can get involved in this great cause.

These volunteers are critical to the organization. All of our evening computer classes are taught by volunteers. These individuals are asked to commit to a schedule of teaching one night a week to provide continuity for students. As the evening classes meet twice a week, each instructor has a partner that teaches the other night of the week. Instructors communicate with their partner regarding what material was covered.

Instructor Assistant

Helpers work with students who are having trouble understanding, or have encountered a problem with the software. They are not responsible for delivering any course material, but can provide additional input any time.

Meal Service

dinner_breadEach evening (Monday through Thursday) a light dinner is served to approximately 25 to 40 women and their children. This enables women to attend class two nights a week and bring their children with them. Providing the meal enables women to leave work, pick up their children, and arrive in time for school. You and your friends, social group, or church group could help in providing a light meal one night a month or as often as you choose.

Project Organizers

Gather clothes for the Success Store or used computers to be given away for the Top Of The Ladder award.

There are several committees always looking for an extra member. Some of The Ladder Alliance committee choices are: fund raising, golf tournament organization, or curriculum development.
