The Ladder Alliance

Mission… To provide women victims of domestic violence or low-income women with the tools to lead self-reliant, independent and successful lives.

Please join The Ladder Alliance at the Ashton Depot on April 25, 2014 to celebrate serving women in Tarrant County. The Ladder Alliance serves hundreds of women annually through our program offered to victims of domestic violence or low-income women.

o Students learn basic computer skills from a custom created curriculum instructing students in keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet and email functionality. These skills are critical to obtaining a job in today’s work force.

o The program consists of evening or day time classes with qualified instructors teaching a course comprised of 32 2-hour sessions.

o The program and our services are offered at no cost to students excluding a $10 materials fee.

o Interview and career wardrobes are purchased with “Success Dollars” earned for attending class and exhibiting good work habits

o Professional child care is provided during evening classes.

o Evening meals are provided for students and their children.

o Majority of our students earn a computer to help retain skills and teach family members.

In 2012, The Ladder Alliance Provided:

o 70% victims of domestic violence

o 52% < $10,000 annual income

o 43% < $30,000 annual income

o 65% Female-Head-of-Household

What our students say about The Ladder Alliance:

“If you want to change your future, The Ladder Alliance can help. Ultimately it’s your choice but like me, you can have a future to look forward too.” Roxanna

“If this program was just all about learning some skills, I don’t know that I could have pushed myself through it. Thankfully, these women avail themselves of so much more. They are cheerleaders, cheering us on when we feel depleted of strength.” Shannon
